HVORFOR ER YOGA GODT FOR RYTTERE?

  • Kropsforståelse og -bevidsthed vil gøre det meget nemmere for dig at sende små, præcise signaler med dit kropssprog til hesten
  • En rytter med kontrol over sin krop kan bruge kroppens muskler som raffinerede hjælpere under ridning
  • At holde kroppens muskulatur stærk og smidig vil forebygge skader og ubehag
  • At forstå dit eget bevægeapparat giver dig større forståelse for hestens – og forbedrer dermed dine færdigheder som rytter

At ride kræver både koordinative og muskulære forudsætninger.  En rytter som er i god fysisk form og har en stærk, smidig og sund muskulatur kan bruge sin indvirkning på hesten meget mere målrettet og præcist end en svag eller ubalanceret rytter. Der stilles store krav til kroppens muskler for at støtte rygsøjlen bedst muligt mens man sidder på hesteryg. Hvis holdningen er dårlig, er der stor risiko for at rygsøjlen bliver skadet under ridningen, når den udsættes for stød.

Ridning i sig selv er en en forholdsvis ensformig muskeltræning, og har derfor meget godt af at blive suppleret af andre træningsformer, som ikke bare fremmer kroppens og sindets generelle velbefindende, men desuden gør dig til en bedre og stærkere rytter.

For en hest i ligevægt kræver det en helt ny bevægelsesdimension at bære en rytter. Enhver af rytterens bevægelser påvirker hesten, og jo dårligere rytteren har fundet sin egen balance på hestens ryg, desto mere ubehag og forstyrrelse oplever hesten. Jo bedre en rytter behersker sine muskler til hest, desto nemmere er det at finde en god opstilling og bruge sine muskler som raffinerede hjælpere.
